Peer Support is provided through our Facebook Bible Study group. We believe that by being a part of such communities, wives can connect with others that fully understand the LE life and can walk alongside them on this journey. The women in the group constantly provides support, encouragement, leadership, motivation and accountability for each other. The women are of a diverse background and different places on their marriage journey. Those on the Peer Support Team are vetted and trained to ensure women are peered with someone who can truly walk alongside them on the journey. Additional resources may also be coupled with Peer Support to get the best possible outcome. In order to receive Peer Support benefits, the wife must be a member of the Bible Study Group.
Mental Health issues are a major concern in our Law Enforcement marriages. As a result, it is our goal to refer beneficiaries to a counselor and pay for five (5) consecutive sessions when funds allow. Beneficiaries will be required to sign a contract saying they will attend all five sessions within a ten-week time frame. Exception will apply if a devastating emergency has occurred. In this event, the time frame may be extended, pause or end. In the event of breach of contract outside of the above exceptions, the beneficiary will be required to reimburse Married 2 The Badge for the unused portion of the funds paid in advance to the provider.
Call the Suicide Prevention Hotline if you are having thoughts of suicide or self harm at 1-800-273-8255
Marriages are the base of our organization and Ministry. We want to see Law Enforcement marriages all over the country not simply survive but thrive. We recognize the fact that while law enforcement officers often struggle with the things they see on the job, their spouses struggle as well with knowing they may not come home after shift. It is our intention to equip couples with the tools and resources needed to have a successful marriage. This will be done through connection with a counselor, mentor from the bible study group and literatures. As with Mental Health, beneficiaries will be required to sign a contract with the same stipulations outlined above.
Things happen at the most inopportune time in our lives. Natural disaster, a sick child in the hospital, a wounded spouse. It is our mission to help fill the gap when things happen. We can't make it go away but we would like to help with easing the burden when it is possible.
Everything we strive to accomplish costs money. We depend on donors, sponsors and fundraising to offset the cost of our initiatives. As a fundraising effort we have established a M2B Store with merchandise and Bible Study Boxes. Please consider helping us in achieving our goals by visiting the store purchasing an item or two or by donating.
Our Men’s Bible Study Group exist to provide a safe place for men married to a law enforcement officer and for male officers themselves. Along with biblical teachings and guidance, the group provides Peer Support and prayer as well.
