Kerry-Ann Burnett-Astree
Kerry-Ann is a Christian mother of three, widow of a sergeant an author and speaker. She has a Bachelor's of Science she earned from the University of Technology, Jamaica and a MBA in Accounting earned from Strayer University. Kerry-Ann has a strong passion for seeing women thrive and succeed in every area of their lives. She believes every Law Enforcement spouse should have access to the support he or she needs to thrive in their role. She also believes you should be able to eat ice cream all year round without being judged and the best winter flavor is Eggnog.
My name is Blanca Muñoz, and I am honored to be a part of M2B dedicated to supporting law enforcement spouses. As a mother of three and a proud law enforcement wife of 26 years, I understand the unique challenges our families face. My husband is also an Army veteran, which deepens my commitment to serving those who serve our communities. I am passionate about giving back and have dedicated my time to various organizations, focusing on faith-based initiatives that uplift and support our spouses. I believe in the power of community, and I strive to instill the same values of compassion and service in my children.
Dr. KaRae' Powers-Carey brings a unique combination of professional expertise, personal experience, and a deep commitment to serving others to her role as a board member of Married 2 the Badge (M2B). KaRae' is a licensed mental health counselor, registered nurse, and college professor. She is uniquely equipped with a multidisciplinary understanding of the complexities faced by law enforcement families. KaRae’s connection to the law enforcement community runs deep. She is the niece of a retired law enforcement officer, shares a “special sisterhood” with a retired law enforcement investigator, and was previously married to a law enforcement officer. Life as a part of a law enforcement family is a journey the brings constant change and challenge, yet also provides opportunity, joy, and growth. KaRae’ has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by law enforcement families and looks forward to sharing her experiences to further the mission and vision of M2B.
Pastor Clarence Hines is a retired Criminal Justice educator. He retired from The Special School District, St Louis, MO. Accomplishments are nothing that has evaded Pastor Hines. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Applied Behavioral Science from National Louis University and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary. Pastor Hines is a retired Sergeant with the St. Louis Metro Police Department, where he served for 21 years. Even after retirement from the police department, he continues to serve officers at the St. Louis Police Department as their Police Chaplain.
He is also the Director of the Training Academy for the St Louis Metropolitan Police Department, where he is responsible for all facets of training, recruitment, and community engagement.
With the heart of a true servant, Pastor Hines is the senior pastor of The Church of Adullam, St Louis, Missouri.
He is also the author of the book “Faith Behind the Blue Wall...Finding God's Love in Law Enforcement.”
Pastor Hines is honored to be serving on the Board of Directors for Married 2 The Badge.
I am Charlotte Scoggins and I have been married to my best friend for 55 years, James (Dan) Scoggins. We have been blessed with one child and three grandchildren. Dan retired from the Columbus (Georgia) Police Department as a sergeant of financial crimes division. We are members of the Newnan City Church. Dan and I spend most days supporting our law enforcement family in Georgia. Dan is on the Georgia State board of the Fraternal order of Police and the Columbus GA board. I am on the board of the National Fraternal Order of Police, the Georgia State and the Columbus Georgia. I lost two cousins in the line of duty, supporting law enforcement is close to my heart. I look forward to working with each of you to support all our law enforcement officers.
Stacy Sauls, MPA-JA
Stacy Sauls is an experienced criminal justice professional with over 29 years of service. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and an Master’s of Public Administration(MPA) with a concentration in Justice Administration (JA). Stacy has held management and leadership roles up to the rank of Interim Chief and remains actively engaged in law enforcement training and education. She is currently the Director of Security for a Private Christian School.
Stacy is the proud daughter of a retired Deputy Sheriff, wife of a 30+ year law enforcement officer and mother to four adult children, 2 of which are first responders. Stacy is an avid recreational tennis player, who enjoys the occasional 10k run/walk and a good hiking adventure. She is an active member of her community and engaged with several organizations, including professional and civic. Stacey is also married to a law enforcement professional.
